Thank God for all the wonderful things that He had done in the year 2009. We believe in the year 2010 will be another great and exciting year. Lets all believe that IGNITE-Youth will continue to grow in the Lord and be use by Him to touch lives.

Hiking Trip to Pantai Kerachut

It's the first Saturday of the year!!

And Ignite Youth is kicking off the year 2010 with a trip to Pantai Kerachut!!

Where is Pantai Kerachut?

Pantai Kerachut is a scenic beach located at the National Park of Penang, Teluk Bahang. To get there, we need to hike for about 2 hours.

Date: 2 January 2010 (Saturday)
Fee: NONE!

Here are some important details:
~ We will be meeting at Hunza Complex at 7 a.m. sharp.
~ Do bring along some food and plenty of water as they will not be provided.
~ Bring along some money too if you wish to take a boat ride back.

Know Your Camp Speaker For 2009

Rev Lisa Chin graduated from the Bible College of Malaya in 1983.She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical studies. She was officially installed as Associate Pastor of Revival Centre in 1985. Pastor Lisa is married to Pastor Ronnie and they have a son, Shawn. As a helpmate to the senior pastor, she relates well to people of all ages – often offering a shoulder to cry on and help in the most practical of ways.She oversees the Children, Youth and Intercessory ministries in Revival Centre.
Besides serving faithfully in Revival Centre, she led the A/G District Women’s Ministry for many years, serves in the Youth Alive Malaysia and A/G Prayer Commission Committee
.
An experienced worship leader, she leads in worship at least once a month and always has a warm smile and encouraging word for all she meets.

She also speaks at various church, women and youth events, sharing from the Word and operating in the gifts of the Spirit. It is her desire to help people experience spiritual breakthroughs and guide them to fulfill their destiny in the Lord.

Penang First Mega Food Fair 2009

This is the very day all of us looked forward to. Indeed, it was a successful event! Though it was tiring to those who were helping, but the joy of the Lord is our strength! So at the end of the day, we enjoyed ourselves more than we helped. Ignite-Youth has decided to help at the games corner.

              So at 8am, all of us were there to finish up the decoration and setting up the stall. Past 9am, was the official opening ceremony of the food fair. It was true indeed when our senior pastor said the whole week has been raining nonstop. But on that morning, it stopped raining for awhile, and a rainbow appeared! God truly works in ways we cannot imagine, doesn’t He?

              Through out the whole time, it was packed. Everyone was snatching to buy, being afraid the goods, beverage and food they want will be sold out. The sales were so good that some were sold out after a few hours. The best part is seeing little kids trying hard to score for the games. Some were even hooked to the play station games.

              It’s never tiring or boring doing God’s work. Somehow, you find the joy working for Him. Even though there is the H1N1 disease, still by the grace of the Lord, many turned up! Hope to help out the next food fair and see our church!

Photography Workshop

It was on a Saturday, 15th of august 20 of us or maybe more have to go Hunza at 3pm for the session. And of course, most of us reached there late. Speaker of the day, bro Arden Khoo was the earliest of all. He was there before 3pm to set up everything.

If you’re wondering who is bro Arden, visit this website http://www.ardenkhoo.com . With all the information he has given us, I believe all of us are one step closer to be a professional photographer. We definitely can’t store all the information in our brains, but definitely we grasped the important ones.

So now, in your own opinion what is photography? It maybe taking pictures of unforgettable moments, flashing back to old times and laugh your heart out or perhaps just for the sake of keeping it? “It’s so simple that I didn’t even think of it” said bro Arden. And certainly it was simple. Try breaking the word ‘Photography’ and you will get ‘Photo’ which means light and ‘Graphy’ means drawing or painting. So photography actually means draw or paint with light source. Simple? Hahh! I bet you didn’t think about that!

One thing you need to know is ‘no matter how good or bad is your camera or DSLR, you still need the skills to take good pictures.” It doesn’t depend on the camera for you to take pictures, it depends on you. Even if you’re using the best DSLR on earth, without skills the pictures you take wouldn’t turn out nice. In conclusion, it doesn’t mean you own a good DSLR means you’re a professional.

To take good pictures, you can visit photography blogs. Different people take different angles of pictures. You should try taking with your own camera, learn from mistakes. I guess now all of us are ready to serve the Lord in a new way. Taking pictures of ignite and inspire others!!

I want to take this opportunity to extend my gratitude and thanks to JESUS because HE is the main cast for the night and main reason we are doing this.

Secondly I want to extend my thanks to everyone of you! Doesn't matter if your contributions is big or small, I just want to tell you that you have done very well for the LORD on that night! Well Done!! Thank you everyone for your support and service to the LORD!

IGNITE-Youth Service: Movie Nite

We are having a Movie Nite/Documentary this coming Saturday!

Many of you might have heard about Nick Vujucic.

For some of you who yet to know about him. here are some of the info.

"My name is Nick Vujicic and I'm 25 years old. I was born without arms or legs and given no medical reason for this condition. Faced with countless challenges and obstacles, God has given me the strength to surmount what others might call impossible. Along with that, the Lord has placed within me an unquenchable passion to share this same hope and genuine love that I've personally experienced with more than two million people all over the globe.

Traveling extensively to over 19 nations, I've been extremely humbled by the continuous opportunities that the Lord has given me to share my testimony along with the hope that I have in Jesus with people in so many nations and situations. My greatest joy in this life is to introduce Jesus to those I meet and tell them of His great desire to get to know them personally by allowing Him to become their Lord and Savior.

One of my favorite scriptures from the Bible is Psalm 139:17-18 that says, "How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand."

God has used me to let people know in countless schools, churches, prisons, orphanages, hospitals, stadiums and in face-to-face encounters with individuals how very precious they are to God. Secondly, it's my pleasure to assure them that God does have a plan for their lives that is purposeful. For God took my life, one that others might disregard as having any significance and filled me with His purpose and showed me His plans to move hearts and lives toward Him. Understanding this, though faced with struggles, you can overcome too.

Be encouraged today as you read this promise from the Lord found in Jeremiah 29:11 of the Bible, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

It's a very inspirational documentary, let come this Saturday and be blessed!

ROOM 77 - Prayer and Fasting

CALLING ALL IGNITE-Youth and Friends,

We believe many of you had heard about 'ROOM 77'. We know that many of you are excited about it. However, without JESUS and prayer the whole concert makes no different. We just don't want to stage just another normal concert. We want HIS strength and HIS divine intervention in ROOM 77.

As we don't want to take anything for granted, we would like to invite to pray and fast with us. The prayer time will be 7pm before IGNITE-Youth Service in the sanctuary. We strongly encourage you to skip one meal and fast the dinner before the IGNITE-Youth Service.

As the time goes on in June, we'll add more session of prayer and fasting for the 'ROOM 77'.

IGNITE-Youth Service - Discussion Week

Picnic and Canoeing Day Photos

Everyone woke up with a rainy day on the Kayaking Saturday morning. The sky is so dark outside, it seems like the rain is not going to stop anytime sooner.

Anyway, we decided to go ahead with the plan and pray that the rain would stop. When we depart from Hunza at 8.10am. There were still some drizzling. Praise the LORD that when we reached Penang Water Sports Center at Tanjung Bungah the rain stopped.

We start off with praise and worship, followed by prayer and briefing by Matthew Ho. The time is still early at the beach, so some guys decided to play some volleyball game. There was fun time at the beach and everyone enjoyed themselves.

At 9.30am, Kayaking time begins with some warm up. After that, we brought out all the equipments and help one another out to the sea. Thank GOD for the rain, because after the rain the sea is pretty calm as the weather is not windy. We had all the fun time in the sea by chasing one another in kayaks, splashing water to one another. It had been a long time since IGNITE-youth had an activity like this. Everyone enjoyed themselves in the sea.

At 10.30am, we returned back to the beach. At the beach, some playing around, some swimmed, some helping to keep the equipment. After keeping all the equipments and washing up. We went to Sri Ananda Bhawan for lunch before returning to Hunza.

It had been a great night! The youths jumped in joy, lifting their voices singing the anthems of GOD, lifting their hands in worship. This had been one of the most memorable night. Praise the LORD!

GOD is awesome! For few consecutive weeks, GOD had been doing awesome works in our midst. HIS Spirit and anointing is moving in our midst. We want to give all the GLORY, HONOR, PRAISES to JESUS!

PROFILE OF OUR SPECIAL SPEAKER


Daniel Ross


Graduated from Destiny Bible College in South Carolina with a Bachelors Of Theology in Practical Ministry. Has served on staff with Restoration Church in Spartanburg, South Carolina for four years where he was also a Masters Commission graduate.

Daniel, having been saved out of drugs and crime, has a desire to see every generation realize, that no matter where they are in their journey, God has a destiny for their lives. The passiln that drives him is seeing the transforming power of the gospel for all people.

Daniel has traveled estensively in the USA and Asia has ministered to leaders in Vietnam, India, Myanmar, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, and Kazakhstan.

Daniel Ross is a Regional Director for Global Ministry Teams, a mission organization mobilizing, training, and releasing this generation to share The Gospel with those who have never heard.
